Kenneth E. Kahn ll has lived in Portland most of his life. He graduated from Reed College ('80) and then Lewis and Clark, Northwestern School of Law ('90). He has taught other lawyers at continuing legal education seminars for the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Multnomah Criminal Bar Association. He also mentors law students in criminal law and procedure. He was a contributing legal editor to the Sports Car Market Editor, writing a legal column for the collector car market, and was a member of the Multnomah County Bicycling and Pedestrian Committee where he helped formulate cycling policy at the county level.

He has practiced criminal law since 1990 and has defended over three thousand people on every kind of criminal charge except murder, rape, and sexual abuse. As a trial lawyer, he has argued innumerable jury trials, motions and proceedings. He is licensed to practice in Federal Court, is a member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar, and has argued numerous cases at the Court of Appeals and administrative hearings. He is well respected by judges, prosecutors, and other criminal defense lawyers.

Awards

He is a recipient of the Key to the City of San Francisco, and was awarded a citation from Portland Mayor Bud Clark on behalf of the Bureau of Emergency Communications for preventing an attempted suicide.

Personal

He is married and lives in Portland with his wife of nearly 20 years Bonnie www.bonniekahngallery.com, their teenage daughter Anne, and their peculiarly dumb cat Toulouse. He enjoys humor, kayaking and cycling, and has ridden Cycle Oregon www.cycleoregon.com three times.

Thomas P. Ifversen has been practicing law in Oregon since passing the Bar exam in 2000. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Tom went to the University of Oregon and graduated with a BA in 1991. In 1997 Tom enrolled at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College, earning his JD in 2000.

Tom has handled hundreds of criminal cases as an attorney. He has experience in misdemeanor, traffic and felony cases, where he has tried countless cases with considerable success both in front of judges and with juries. Tom has also handled numerous civil cases, both as a Plaintiff's attorney and a Defense attorney. Tom also practices small business law, setting up and advising numerous entrepreneurs with an LLC, LLP or S-Corp. Tom has worked as a mentor to younger lawyers and with law students both through his firm, and through the Law School. Tom has also been involved in the Big-Brother/Big-Sister program here in Portland.

Tom lives in Lake Oswego with his wife and two young children. An avid canoe paddler, Tom's crew placed third in last year's Catalina Crossing race. Two years ago, Tom's crew won the open division at the Portland Rose Festival Dragonboat Regatta. Tom and his 4 year-old daughter enjoy surfing on the Oregon coast, despite the frigid water (clients enjoy the surfing pictures and magazines that decorate Tom's office). Despite all the hard work and long hours Tom spends at his office, being an active and well-rounded person is a big priority in his life.
